SpendTrail Additional Terms
Effective date: 2026-09-10
Central terms: SentiDawn Terms of Service
SpendTrail is a SentiDawn product. These SpendTrail Additional Terms supplement the SentiDawn Terms of Service (https://www.sentidawn.com/terms). Where these terms are more specific, they govern your use of SpendTrail; where they are silent, the SentiDawn Terms of Service apply.
1. Definitions
- "SpendTrail" — the SentiDawn software for turning bank slips and credit-card statements into records of spending.
- "Document" — an image of a bank transfer or payment slip, or a PDF credit-card statement, that you upload to SpendTrail.
- "Record" — a transaction SpendTrail holds for your account, whether read off a document or entered by hand.
2. Accounts and access
You sign in with a Google account that an administrator has added to SpendTrail; there is no self-service registration. Eligibility requirements are set out in the SentiDawn Terms of Service (https://www.sentidawn.com/terms).
You may connect an AI assistant to your account through MCP, from the Connect page, via SentiDawn's identity service. Everything such an assistant does — uploading, listing, summarising, categorising — is done as you, within your account, and is your use of SpendTrail.
3. What SpendTrail does, and does not do
- SpendTrail is a record-keeping tool. It does not connect to your bank or card issuer; a record in SpendTrail is a record of something that happened elsewhere.
- SpendTrail reads a document by sending its image, or the text extracted from it, to an AI model that fills in the fields of a record. That reading is an aid: it can be incomplete or wrong, and SpendTrail does not guarantee it. Check the records SpendTrail produces before you rely on them.
- SpendTrail does not offer editing of an individual value it has read. You can change the category and tags of any record. To correct an amount, date or description, read the document again or enter the transaction by hand. Moving a document to Trash hides every record read from that document, not one line of it.
- Categories, tags and classification rules are yours. SpendTrail applies the rules you set, and running the rules again does not override a category you set by hand. Reading a document again replaces the records read from it, and the categories and tags set on the replaced records go with them.
4. Documents you upload
- SpendTrail is for two kinds of document: images of bank transfer or payment slips, which it reads as slips, and PDF credit-card statements, which it reads as statements.
- A slip names the other side of a transfer; by uploading it you are asking SpendTrail to record what is printed on it. Your responsibilities for what you enter are set out in the SentiDawn Terms of Service (https://www.sentidawn.com/terms).
- A slip is recorded once it has been read successfully. A slip with the same transaction reference and the same paying and receiving accounts as one already in your records is not recorded again, and the same file uploaded twice is refused.
- A statement is held as a staged reading until you confirm the import; confirming turns it into records. Reading it again replaces its current reading — and if it was already confirmed, removes its records and stages them again until you confirm.
- A document you move to Trash is not shown in your records until you restore it. Nothing in Trash is purged on a schedule.
5. Saved statement passwords
You may save the password of a password-protected statement so that SpendTrail can open your future statements without asking. Saving one is optional. Saved passwords are stored encrypted and used only to open your own statement PDFs; you can remove a saved password at any time and are responsible for doing so when you no longer want it kept.
6. Changes to these additional terms
The current version of these additional terms and its effective date are published on this page. The SentiDawn Terms of Service (https://www.sentidawn.com/terms) also apply.
